Glad that Year 7, 8 and 9 teachers were given heymath trial accounts. Since my arrival I have been encouraging the teachers to use my trial account and they found the lessons a rich resource for the Singapore mathematics curriculum. However, the slow internet has dampened their spirits quite a bit. Lessons took quite a long while to load. SIS need to customise this resource to overcome this problem. Am real glad for SIS teachers that Director, Mike, has contacted Sheela from Heymath to come over to SIS for a meeting on this. In fact this morning at Year 7 class, I tried to download a Sec 2 lesson for Mr Rakesh but it just took too long to download. Also flash was needed to be installed. Got to get the IT guy, Som, to fix this for all computers in the classrooms before adoption.

Received Director, Mr Koh BL, at Mumbia Airport at 10.40am. Good thing I checked with Saloni, the Exec Director as to Mr Koh's car pickup as Sukriti, had to return to her hometown out of Mumbai, to attend her grandfather's funeral.

A meeting was held this afternoon to discuss examination procedures and rules and arrangements for the Open House. This being the first examination to be conducted by SIS, all teachers were briefed on these. Was glad that Director picked up my point on the need to remind invigilators to be on their toes while invigilating when he spoke on the subject.
