Peer observation by teachers continue into the second day for the Maths teachers. Primary Division math teacher, Binu sat through a full hour in a Year 9 class. I took him through from start of lesson to end touching on classroom management techniques and lesson planning. The IB meeting was cancelled as the teachers had to get their CA papers ready for submission and vetting. You can feel that some of the teachers were quite stressed out. Yes, teachers everywhere face this especially during the period before their students' sit for the examinations.
Questions need to be sourced, moderated and set according to specifications outlined. Submission datelines for vetting, printing to be done, collating the papers take up a huge chunk of teachers' time. I guessed, being in service for too long, all this has become second nature to me...haha. Some of the teachers seeked help in formatting of the papers, setting the questions and some examination procedures to clarify. The CA Timetable was issued by the Office today to all teachers and students.
